Caring of children is my real passion which I think that I’m really good at it. This passion motivated me to always look forward to make all the efforts to provide the best service to them. I realized that changes are not easy to be made particularly in healthcare and that I would need more than my clinical background to achieve it. At the beginning of my journey at SKMC, I had the opportunity to take over some administrative job that was small but I considered it as a big step in my career. I was asked to be the contract management unites manager for the newly established SEHA Dialysis Services (SDS).
It has become clearer to me that I need to learn more about healthcare administration and leadership to be able to Excel on what I’m doing. I joined Zayed University Executive Masters in Health Care Administration in June 2011 I graduated with distinction.
On August 2013 I was promoted to be the deputy CEO of SDS which was a big change in my carrier with more responsibilities. This opportunity increased my leadership and healthcare administrative leadership. I managed to provide many changes that added a significant impact on the dialysis patients in the region of Abu Dhabi.
In 2017, I decided that the time has come to go back to my clinical duty to particularly serve our pediatric nephrology patients. I have been particularly working on improving our outcomes in dialysis and kidney transplantation with a near future focus on establishing a pediatric nephrology fellowship
